課程概述 |
本課程旨在提供學生操作和評估經驗政治研究的知識基礎，各種研究途徑和分析工具，對社會科學和現象本質有不同假設，各有其優勢和弱點，亦面臨不同研究倫理的挑戰。這學期我們將透過質化研究方法實作，包括訪談、田野調查、檔案研究等，具體探討研究者在各個研究階段中，所面臨的抉擇：何謂好的研究問題？如何選擇適當的研究方法？如何搜集、整合、以及分析資料？本課程除了介紹學生質化研究方法在政治學的運用之外，更重要地，是加強學生對社會科學知識生產和判讀的能力。 |

課程目標 |
學生修習、完成課程要求之後，將具備從事和分析經驗政治學研究的技巧，包括：
（一）選擇有趣的研究問題；
（二）擬定研究策略；
（三）採用適切的方法工具來搜集資料；
（四）比較、分析資料；
（五）溝通、呈現研究成果。 |

課程要求 |
每4-5位同學組成一個研究小組，本課程評量方式由三個小組作業構成：
（一）小組研究計畫大綱（30%）
各組以「2022年中華民國地方公職人員選舉」為主題，構思一個研究問題，並擬定5頁以內的研究計畫大綱，內容包括一個明確的研究問題、其重要性、所需要的資料及評估你取得該資料的方式與可能性（如：田野地點、時序、以何身份進入？訪談大綱？哪些資料數據？這些資料的連結和使用狀況？），各組於11/3與11/10口頭報告10分鐘，書面大綱於11/17前上傳至NTU COOL。
（二）田野實作口頭報告（30%）
小組依其研究題目安排田野實作，時間為12/1（或其他課外時間），田野對象可以是一個人（如村里長、議員、醫護、餐廳老闆）或是一群人（如家庭、樂團、球隊）、地點（如市場、紀念館、寺廟教堂、村落等）、單位（如政府機構、政黨、非政府組織）、或事件（遊行、公聽會、記者會、祭典等）。
小組整合所有個別和集體蒐集的深度訪談和田野調查，於12/8與12/15課堂報告，每組15分鐘，內容應包括簡短的方法介紹、研究發現、以及反省（若第二次訪談或是再返回田野，你會如何調整你的訪綱、行程與內容？為什麼？），簡報內容於報告當天上課前，上傳至NTU COOL。
（三）研究報告（40%）
小組結合所有蒐集的實證資料，寫成5,000至8,000字的研究報告，於12/22前上傳至NTU COOL；引用資料必須符合《政治科學論叢》格式：http://politics.ntu.edu.tw/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/format.pdf。 |
